Linden joined the PGI team in January 2018 to help support and grow the PGI programme and the regional engagement with academia. Based at Strathclyde University, Linden is working closely with NPL Scotland, Strathclyde University colleagues and, of course, the PGI cohort. Linden's role has a dual function – as well as supporting the PGI, she also has responsibility to help implement NPL's regional development strategy.
Linden's career started at GlaxoSmithKline as a Chemical Development scientist, thanks to an industrial placement during her undergraduate studies. She has worked in both Research & Development and Manufacturing environments.
Since leaving the pharmaceutical sector, Linden has enjoyed posts at the Royal Society of Chemistry, the Centre for Science and Policy at Cambridge University and, most recently, the Babraham Institute. Linden has covered quite a breadth of subjects and roles – from Chemistry and Process Improvement to Life Sciences and Knowledge Exchange. Her aim with the University Liaison Manager role is to bring her knowledge, experience and networks to the PGI, and create new links and exciting opportunities for NPL.
