We offer calibration services for spectral radiance and irradiance characteristics of lamps, luminaires and integrating sphere sources over the spectral range 250 nm to 2500 nm. Measurements are traceable to the NPL Spectral Radiance and Irradiance Primary Standard (SRIPS) facility, which uses an ultra-high-temperature blackbody radiator as the reference. The blackbody is directly linked to NPL’s cryogenic radiometer, enabling uncertainties at state-of-the-art levels to be achieved.
The SRIPS facility can be used directly for the calibration of lamps and integrating sphere sources for customers. In addition, we provide calibration services for the radiance or irradiance responsivity of array spectrometers and other instruments, using our own lamps and sphere sources which are calibrated against the blackbody. Our extensive experience in this area means we are well-placed to advise customers on the optimum calibration approach, so please contact us to discuss your specific requirements.
