Wei Huang joined the Optical Frequency Metrology group at NPL in February 2021. He is a member of the fibre links team, and is currently working on optical fibre time and frequency transfer techniques with software defined radio.
Wei Huang worked as a research assistant in the Royal Observatory of Belgium, where he carried out research on GNSS time and frequency transfer techniques. Then he obtained his PhD degree in time Metrology from the Politecnico di Torino and the Istituto Nazionale di Ricerca Metrologica (INRiM) joint programme in Italy. His PhD thesis is about GNSS Precise Point Positioning time transfer and satellite clock real-time monitoring algorithms.
