Steph is relatively new to the industry having spent several years fronting NPL’s Catering & Hospitality service.
After instigating a much- needed career change, Steph began in the Project office as admin support in October 2015.
Within a few months she was seconded to help out a couple of days a week in the Radioactivity (now Nuclear Metrology) despatch department.
Having undergone the ADR and IATA training courses required, Steph is now an authorised consignor of radioactive and dangerous goods.
She is now largely full time in the Nuclear group but still provides admin support for 11 other groups across NPL.
This includes assisting with departmental governance meetings and our non payroll staff process which ensures that all guest workers, students and visiting researchers have the appropriate agreements and paperwork to carry out activities at NPL.
