Namneet joined the Optical Frequency Metrology group in August 2022. She received her PhD from Paris Science Lettre (PSL) Research University in 2018, working on White Rabbit PTP technology for time and frequency transfer over optical fibre links at SYRTE, Observatoire de Paris, the French national metrology institute. Her PhD work demonstrated the sub-nanosecond synchronisation capability of the technology as an alternative to the widely used GNSS time service.
After this, she spent two years as a Research and Development Engineer at OPNT, a start-up of the VU university in Amsterdam, working on National Measurement Institute time and frequency dissemination using White Rabbit PTP over existing telecom networks, link architecture design, delay calibrations and on national-scale time as a service.
Most recently, Namneet worked for 18 months as an Application Engineer at Gorgy Timing in France, where she worked on characterisation of miniature rubidium clocks for defence applications.
Areas of Interest
