Manoj Stanley

Higher scientist

Manoj Stanley completed his Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Liverpool in 2019. Currently, he is working at the UK’s National Physical Laboratory as a Senior Scientist in the Electromagnetic and Electrochemical Technologies department. He has led and supported the development of high frequency metrology capabilities for next-generation quantum and communications technologies. Currently, he is focused on developing high frequency metrology capabilities at cryogenic temperatures for quantum computing applications. He is an executive committee member of RF and Microwave technical network within the Institution of Engineering and Technology. He is also a member of ICT/4 Quantum technologies BSI committee. He is a member of Industry Liaison Group at London Metropolitan University. He served as Operations Officer in European Microwave Week 2021.

Areas of interest

  • Radio frequency measurement techniques from kHz to THz
  • Cryogenic high frequency metrology for Quantum Computing applications
  • Device, material and channel characterisation for 5G communication and beyond
