Patrick Reuvekamp joined NPL in July 2019 as a Higher Scientist in Quantum Electrical Metrology group. Patrick completed both his BSc and MSc in Physics at Brock University (St. Catharines, Ontario, Canada). He completed his PhD in Experimental Physics at the University of Stuttgart in Germany while working at the Max Planck for Solid State Physics. His specialisation was SQUID magnetometry and thermal expansion of solids during his PhD.
Before joining NPL, Patrick worked in industry for a company producing SQUID magnetometers. From his time studying and working in industry, Patrick has vast experience across many areas of low temperature physics, engineering and electronics. His work focuses on quantum waveform voltage metrology using Josephson junction technologies.
