Leon Rogers leads the Temperature & Humidity Group at NPL. This 20-strong, experienced team provides world-leading expertise and facilities aimed at improving the practical measurement of temperature and humidity. As Group Leader, he has overall responsibility for the delivery of successful project management and people leadership.
Following completion of his PhD work on Photofragment Ion Imaging, at the University of Bristol, Leon joined NPL in 2000 as a researcher in the Optical Radiation Measurement team. In 2005, Leon went on an 18-month secondment to the government Department for Trade and Industry (DTI), returning to NPL to take up a Group Leader position.
Leon has delivered leadership and management training courses. He has been a registered PRINCE2 practitioner, a widely used project management methodology developed by the Office of Government Commerce. Leon is a full member of the Institute of Physics with the designation Chartered Physicist (CPhys).
