Justin was awarded a BSc (Hons) degree in Audio Technology from Salford University in 1998, and started work at NPL in September of that year. Justin has been a member of the Institute of Acoustics since 2001.
Current interests
Justin Ablitt is the facility coordinator for NPL's underwater acoustic open-water test facility - one of NPL's off-site facilities. Justin has responsibility for management of the facility and commercial services, covering accredited calibration services, facility hire and large ongoing service contacts. Justin also manages the calibration services delivered at our main laboratory test tank facilities.
Justin is deliverable manager for the core research project to maintain primary standards for underwater acoustics and the dissemination of the services to industry.
