Gemma Chapman received her PhD at the University of Surrey in 2020 for research on the incorporation of microwaves in silicon quantum systems for spin control. Following this, she undertook post-doctoral research within the same group at Surrey's Advanced Technology Institute where her work concentrated on the rapid prototyping of silicon devices for quantum technologies.
In 2021, Gemma joined the Quantum Sensors group at NPL where she is working as part of the Quantum Sensors for the Hidden Sectors project, recently funded by UKRI's Quantum Technologies for Fundamental Physics programme.
