Daniel Brunt completed a master's degree in Physics at the University of Warwick and then continued onto a PhD with the superconductivity and magnetism group. During his PhD, he primarily synthesised and investigated the properties of magnetic materials through temperature and field dependent characterisation and neutron scattering techniques.
Since joining NPL in 2017, Daniel has been involved in various projects covering the characterisation of both hard and soft magnetic materials, expanding the capabilities of the group’s AC power loss system as well as the development of DC conductivity measurements.
