NPL has today launched the use of an inclusive online toolbar, Recite Me, on our external website to enable visitors to access online content in a way that best suits them.
Around 1 in 7 people have some form of neurodivergence and 1 in 5 a disability and/or long-term condition. This means that many of our stakeholders can have accessibility needs that we might not be aware of. To improve the experience for visitors, we are delighted to now be able to offer a wide range of accessibility and language support tools to customise their digital experience.
New features on our website include: easy to use screen reading functionality, multiple reading aids to support tracking and simplify content, customisable styling options, including font, size, colour and spacing and translation features that quickly and easily translates our content into over 100 languages including 65 texts to speech options.
The toolbar can be accessed via the accessibility logo in the top right-hand corner of the website.
Look out for this symbol on other websites, to find other tools to enhance your experience.
