NPL and OHB Space UK have today signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to explore an industrial partnership in the field of space-related technologies and applications. This collaboration aims to advance various areas, including quantum key distribution (QKD), quantum sensing, optical clocks, positioning, navigation, Earth observation, satellite calibration, and future communications.
The agreement outlines several key areas of focus, including the development of technology towards successful application and mission campaigns. Additionally, the partnership will work on the development of UK satellite scientific test and calibration equipment and procedures.
Cyrus Larijani, Strategic Business Development Manager, NPL said: "This partnership represents a significant step forward in our commitment to advancing space technologies and fostering innovation in the UK. I look forward to the innovative projects and research that will emerge from this collaboration."
