This service allows characterisation of the basic electrical transport properties, namely the electrical resistivity/conductivity, charge carrier type (electrons or holes), carrier density and mobility in a variety of conditions: ambient, vacuum, various gases, different humidity levels, elevated temperatures.
The setup accepts samples with uniform thickness, e.g., semiconductor wafers, thin films, CVD films, and patterned devices, e.g., Hall bar. Measurements can be performed at temperatures ranging from room temperature to 200 °C, in ambient and vacuum (down to 5 – 10 mbar level) , relative humidity range of 0% – 80%. Additionally, combination of gases, e.g., NO2, NH3 can be introduced to the chamber at variable concentrations as low as parts per billion (ppb).
