The City Quantum and AI morning workshop

Shield your business: Expert guidance on next-gen secure communications

Join the National Physical Laboratory (NPL), the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) and the National Quantum Computing Centre (NQCC) for a morning of personalised consultations and insights into safeguarding your organisation from the quantum threat.

We are partnering with The City Quantum and AI Summit to deliver a morning workshop on secure communications in the age of quantum technologies. Find out more about the event here.

The digital age has ushered in unprecedented opportunities, but it has also created a complex landscape of cyber threats. The looming shadow of quantum computing is further escalating these risks. To thrive in this environment, businesses must proactively protect their sensitive data and intellectual property.

On Monday 7 October, from 10.00 to 12.15 at Mansion House, you'll have exclusive access to a consortium of experts from three leading UK Government institutions:

  • NPL: Renowned for cutting-edge measurement science and technology, NPL have been at the forefront of security testing for Quantum Key Distribution (QKD) systems and the trustworthiness of Quantum Random Number Generators (QRNGs). As the UK’s National Metrology Institute, NPL have been leading the way in standardisation to sustain secure communications with the rise of current cryptographic vulnerabilities.
  • NCSC: The NCSC are the UK Government’s authority on protecting against cyber threats. NCSC will share insight on how to mitigate the risks that quantum computing poses to cryptography in modern communications, and what this will mean for best practice in UK industry.
  • NQCC: The NQCC is the UK's national lab for quantum computing, tackling the dual challenges of scaling quantum computing capabilities and driving its adoption across key sectors. The NQCC will be able to offer crucial insights into the current landscape of quantum computing and its potential impacts across various sectors. By delivering strategic initiatives (like the SparQ programme) and preparing organisations for a quantum future, NQCC actively support the development of a quantum-ready economy.

Arrive at 10.00 to secure your one-to-one consultation and delve deep into your organisation's specific security challenges. Hear from experts who will help mitigate the risks to your objectives and strengthen your organisation’s security posture today and into the future.

From 11.00, a panel discussion will explore the latest advancements in secure communications and the implications of quantum technologies. Gain valuable insights from industry leaders as they discuss practical applications and best practices.
